deep, dark chocolate shortbread

Crispy. Fudge.

That's what these taste like.

Yeah. I like.

I really haven't been able to keep my hands off of these cookies.

The edges of the shortbread are crispy.

The sugar topping is crispy.

There's a little bit of chew, a bit of buttery softness, a crunch from the pecans.

And one big shot of chocolate.

No.

A whammy of chocolate.

buttermilk biscuits

Good morning!

These are almost perfect.

They're super tender and buttery and so flavorful.

They just need to be bigger.

Apparently they smother them in it.

They're so darn good.

And, I mean, if you're going to eat a biscuit, why not go all out?

It was big.

A lot of chocolate can be a good thing sometimes.

Just not really for a 2- and 4-year-old.

Or Batman...

chocolate orange breakfast cake

I wasn't even going to post this. Not when I tried it straight out of the oven.

Warm -- this cake was ok. It was pretty good. But not postable.

But then I put it in the refrigerator.

And by the next morning, this thing had turned into a fabulous little cake.

It was awesome.

I got to wake to yummy chocolate and cool, light, creamy cheesecake.

This is totally an overnighter.

It's easy.

Just put everything together and bake the night before.

Then you just let it chill until the next morning.
